Them Crooked Vultures (abbreviated as TCV), the rock music Supergroup that formed in Los Angeles, California in 2005 is on the way Downunder. Comprising vocalist and guitarist Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss and Eagles of Death Metal), drummer Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana) and bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), making the term “Supergroup” a wee understatement.
The band also features Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age) as a live rhythm guitarist.

Collaboration between Homme, Jones and Grohl was first publicly mentioned by Grohl in a 2005 interview with Mojo, in which he declared “The next project that I’m trying to initiate involves me on drums, Josh Homme on guitar, and John Paul Jones playing bass. Josh Homme has had a long association with Maton guitars regularly playing his much loved BB1200 JH in the studio and at shows. Them Crooked Vultures will be playing at Festival Hall on 22/1/2010!
